Welcome to Friends of Steyning Primary School (FSPS)

All parents, guardians and carers become ‘friends of the school’ when their children join Steyning CofE Primary. However, the FSPS ‘Committee’ is a team of willing and enthusiastic volunteers whose role it is to collaboratively provide engaging activities for the school community, that raise funds which are of direct benefit for the children.

The FSPS Committee is an informal group of parents that meet more or less monthly, sometimes more, depending on what events are in the mix.

We are not short of ideas but what we will need of course is support (where time permits) and I do hope that we can rely on as many of you as possible to volunteer in different ways, big or small, to bring our plans to life. Any help is help to us!

To give you an idea - some of the many previous projects funded or part-funded by the FSPS include:

• · 18 new Ipads for the children to use
• · New entrant welcome book bags
• · EYFS outdoor mud kitchens and outdoor area
• · Year 6 end of year party and end of year hoodies

Our commitment to you is to provide full transparency on the funds we raise and how they are fairly apportioned across the school.  We understand this is important and we can assure you that this will form a key part of our communications going forward. Please keep an eye out for our updates in the Weekly Digest .
