Read Write Inc. Phonics Guide for Parents and Letter Formation Sheets
Welcome to the Read Write Inc. page on Oxford Owl for Home.
Read Write Inc. is a popular phonics scheme. Like all phonics schemes, it teaches children the sounds in English, the letters that represent them, and how to form the letters when writing. Read Write Inc. Phonics includes reading books written using only the letters they have learnt at each level (and a small number of separately taught tricky words). The children will quickly feel confident and successful.

Topmarks - Today's Number
Today's Number helps you to learn the numbers to 20. There are two different options to use. The first presents a random number of the day to work on, either from 1 to 10 or 11 to 20 depending on the range selected. The second gives the option to select select a particular number from 1 to 20, a useful option to those wishing to introduce students to the numbers sequentially.
The activities include a number formation activity which provides an animated model with start and end points as a guide, representing the number on ten frames, counting, identifying the numbers before and after and a number recognition task.
